Turkey Hot Dog Sausage Hearts with Fried Eggs

Found this idea on some Russian cooking site, it’s fun way to make heart-shaped breakfast for Valentine’s or Mother/Father Day from hot dog sausage. Kids can make it too.


Hot dog sausage (I used Smoked White Turkey Franks from Ball Park)

Cut hot dog sausage lengthwise, but not all the way – leave small part, about 1/2 in. Turn out and give form to the heart, fasten with a toothpick. Pour the eggs into the middle, fry until cooked on low heat, uncovered. Discard toothpicks and serve hot with some toasts or any breakfast meal additions.
