Half Sour Watermelon
Recipe adapted from blogger Ilara. Sweet and salted, cold watermelon from fridge is greatest things in the hot summer.

watermelon chunks
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
4-5 garlic cloves
5-6 sprigs of dill (I used only stems)
2-3 tbsp. clear honey
4 cups water

Wipe watermelon with wet towel. Cut the watermelon on chunks with or without rind.
Boil water, give a little cool, add sugar and coarse salt. Stir until completely dissolved.
A clean glass jar grease from the inside with liquid honey, add chunks of watermelon, dill and garlic (cloves can be cut in half). Pour the watermelon completely cooled marinade, cover and let stay to ferment 1-2 days for little bubbles and great smell. Close the jar and refrigerate.
