Peanut Butter and Black Beans Chocolate Dough Balls

Idea came from chickpea cookie dough balls recipe and black bean brownies. Not too sweet, smooth and chocolate balls, great cooled or even frozen. For sweetener I used date syrup – it adds some sour taste, like in real dark chocolate.


Yeld: 15 balls

1/2 cooked or canned black beans, washed and rinsed
1/4 cup peanut butter (I used whipped smooth PB)
2-4 tbsp. date syrup (honey or agave syrup)
2 tbsp. dark unsweetened cocoa
pinch of salt
2 tbsp. mini chocolate morsels (optional)

Using a food processor, process black beans, cacao powder, date syrup, peanut butter and salt. Process until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if necessary. Stir in the chocolate chips if using. Make small balls and roll it in powdered sugar, or let it freeze and dip into melted chocolate. Store in the fridge or freezer.
