I want homemade sausages for my Christmas dinner and I want to make it by myself. So I saw couple video lessons and bought casing and sausage stuffer kit attachment and all ingredients for sausages. It was so much fun! Couple times I want to kill someone or discard anything in garbage, but with a little help of my husband I made it. Big sausage ring (mostly spiral), like many Ukrainian kinds of sausages. Inspired by Big Oven recipe of Jul Korv (Swedish Christmas sausage) but with beef and chicken.
This is an ideal recipe for busy people – mix all ingredients night before and make ideal patties in the morning. Very easy formula to remember, always great result. Common addition for plain syrniki is raisins, but any dry fruit work well, also lemon and orange zest, grated carrot or apple, chocolate chips. Some stuff them with caramel, poppy seeds filling, jam or fresh berries. For savory variation addition of ham, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, caraway seeds or feta can be used.
I love pancakes for breakfast but usually I make whole bunch for my family. This one is for myself only. Large enough pancake with rice flour, seafood (I used crab meat or, sometimes imitation – only seafood I can eat) and crunchy part – scallion, zucchini (or cucumber) and carrot.
