It’s ok, I love traditions but bake one of them 3-5 hours is not easy. Thanksgiving is a day of family gatherings and Turkey Day too. So, these are my main dishes.

In 2005, it was a free and frozen “young turkey breast” from Pathmark. It was my first Thanksgiving turkey and I was very proud of it.
In 2006, it was a turkey with bread stuffing, which (stuffing, not turkey) we didn’t like at all. It was too mushy. Since then I have not stuffed my turkey. Several times I tried stuffing with chestnuts, sausage, cranberries, apples, spinach, mushrooms, with corn bread, challah and white bread. And in the end I liked the stuffing that was baked separately from the turkey but my family did not.
In 2007, I cooked bird in traditional style – rosemary, sage, black pepper and butter. In 2008, it was a juicy turkey with cider glaze. And I finally decorated it. In the photo it looks burnt, but it is not.
2009 – Turkey with herbes de Provence and citrus. 2010 – Brined Roast Turkey with Sage Butter Rub.
My in-lows are a little bit conservative about food, so I try not to experiment much.
