Bread, tomato and onion salad

My husband loves onion and tomato salad from early college years. I added bread in salad and it was great for lanch with simple oil-vineger dressing.

4 slices French or Italian bread , cubed and toasted
3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 cups tomatoes, cubed
2/3 cup Vidalia or Spanish (sweet) onion, thinly sliced
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Toss bread, tomatoes, onion and basil. Drizzle on the olive oil and the vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Garnish with a few whole basil leaves.
